We left our home and headed towards Williamsburg and decided to take a scenic bypass and drove through the Amana countryside. We found a roadside market selling gourds, pumpkins and squash. After we did some shopping and lunch we headed to the Coralville Dam to see the area where the fossils were excavated by the flood waters of 93 and 2008. This area also happened to provide the perfect opportunity for some great pictures of the beautiful fall colors. We returned home happy and very tired. It was a wonderful day. Just goes to prove that you can have a great time in your own back yard.
Fun in your own back yard.
