The Newton Municipal Airport hosted Fly Iowa 2011 on Saturday Sept 17th. The show was coincided with a Car show at the Iowa Speedway right next door. The Airshow hosted a nice variety of aircraft from World War Two including a P-51 Mustang all the way up to two modern day military aircraft like the B-52 Stratofortress from Barksdale AFB, LA and an HH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter from the Iowa Army National Guard based in Boone.
