Heather and Dave - August 12, 2006 proposal

Watch the video...it tells the entire story!

Some additional notes:
-Kudos to Bryan over at Foggy Lens Photography. I don't know how he managed to hold open the mouth of the balloon in moderate winds AND get the amazing picture featured at the end of the video!
-After we exited the balloon, we launched and chased. Later that evening, we had a great dinner and time out with the rest of the ballooning crews. Then we ended the evening with the event's closing fireworks. What a way to end that perfect night!
-We had never shopped for a rings together, and I knew nothing about shopping for jewelry. I went to Siebke Hoyt and got an education. Thanks Kendra! Heather wasn't aware of what was going on until I popped the question.
-We had planned a trip to Colorado the following month and Heather's sister had mentioned to her, "He's probably going to propose to you in the mountains." Thanks for unintentional diversion, Lacy! Perfectly executed!
-Heather's aunt and uncle from the area came to the rally. We invited them onto the launch field, and they ended up witnessing the proposal.

This is the most unique proposal and I can't believe you got it all on video. It's amazing! Heather and Dave you deserve to win this!

It was a little point-n-shoot Sony digital camera with a mini tripod. I just set it on the basket and let it record video.

I just watched this at work and started tearing up!! So Romantic!!! Great that you told the story on the video felt like I was a part of it!! Soooo Impressed!! I'll be voting for you!!

I got goosebumps watching this. The backdrop, the colors, the sentiment, the surprise...Incredible. Well done Dave - you have my vote! :-)
