My fiancee (Jen Blanchard) and myself (Nicholas Stumpff) have been together for almost 2 years and she has made me the happiest man in the world since the day I met her.

Our engagement took place at Greensquare Park in Cedar Rapids at Uptown Friday Nights. The band playing was The Large Midgets, our friends and favorite band. I asked Steve Kapler, the lead singer, if he could help me out with my big moment. I chose to have the band play, The Wedding Singer song sang by Adam Sandler, "Wanna Grow Old With You" because this I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with my sweetheart. Aside from this big moment for the two of us, I was also able to get my whole family and Jen's whole family to the park without Jen knowing, and I surprised her even more after she said "Yes!!" with the appearance of her parents, brother, and sisters. This was the best night of our lives and now we get to make plans to spend the rest of lives TOGETHER! This could not have went any better and I owe both mine and Jen's family, The Large Midgets, Steve Kapler, and the Jaycees a special thanks for helping me pull this off!!!

I was there that night! Not knowing either of you personally, the purposal was very touching! Im not an emotional person but found I had a tear of happiness trickle down my cheek for the both of you! Best Wishes!
