We use to live there in Vinton and I miss that town with all the trees, but I understand that 75% of the trees are gone I can't imagine that! I am so glad that no one was hurt or even killed. prayers go out to all.

All of the area around Pizza Hut is destroyed except for the Kingdom Hall. Hopefully, none of the damage to the businesses in Vinton is permanent, because it would destroy the town economically.

Jolly's seems to be okay, and the sirens DID go off...till the power went out and it knocked out the sirens. It is a disaster, but remember, town only got a little, the people in the country got the worst:(

my family lives right thier in vinton as soon as i heard about this i tryed to call my mother and my sisters but couldnt get though so i rushed out to make sure they where fine. i was glad my family was fine.

Eric--WMT just reported the the hospital is operational, but things such as dialysis or therapy are closed. ER is open and the rest of the hospital is running.

Looks like they should put something around the pizza hut so it doesn't happen again. They have a lot of cleaning up to do, and with the continuing weather today and heat it will make it even worse. Hope no-one was hurt in the storms there.

the sirens didnt go off in vinton, which was bad for some of us who ive in an upstairs apartment. vinton is a disaster

Some were upset for the sirens going off because of wind, but I am grateful after seeing these photos.
