Here is a picture taken sunday (4/17) morning by my mother Helen Schwietert of someone going over the flooded road on their way back from Essmann/Abel Islands. My mom went to check on our home on Essmann Island and found the road had been closed. Thankfully, our house is several feet above the crest level.

I have also included a few photos that my mother took from a look-out on highway 52, over looking the island on Sunday Morning. Here you can see the southern portion of Abel Island, underwater.

Just thought these might be interesting to look at. Please feel free to use them if you want.
