Night conditions proved difficult and dangerous while chasing tornadoes on the night of Saturday, April 9, 2011 is western Iowa. Lightning flashes provided brief glimpses of the tornadoes and two frame captures are shown here. Image 1 is near Early, Iowa from Hwy. 20 around 9:00PM, image 2 is shown about 1 mile south of Ida Grove from Hwy. 175.
