The storm chase team of my son and myself left Cedar Rapids around 11:30 AM, Saturday, April 9, 2011, met up with some ISU meteorology students in Ames, then proceded to western Iowa where a large supercell began to form around 5:15 PM just west of the Missouri river. The photo and video were taken SE of the town of Mapleton, Iowa around 7:25 PM Saturday.
