Brittney Uhlrich swept the meet with her highest All Around score and earning All Around Champion and she is also the Iowa State Level 9 senior division Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor Champion also.
Since 2006 when Brittney advanced to optional competing, Brittney has won 10 state titles and 7 second places finishes at State meets. She has qualified for Regional Championships every since 2007 and also qualified for Western Championship in 2010 and placed 2nd on floor.
This past weekend, gymnasts across the state competed in the Iowa Junior Olympic State meet in Coralville at the Iowa-Gym-Nest (IGN). IGN earned 30 state titles including 5 All Around titles. Our level 7 team won the team title and our level 9 team finished 3rd. In addition, all 5 of our Level 8 and 9 gymnasts qualified to the Regional IV Championships!
The level 8 and 9 gymnasts train 19 hours a week during the school year after school. Please come join us in Des Moines, Iowa, April 16th (level 9) and 17th (level 8) as the girls compete as Team Iowa against Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota and Wisconsin.
