The planets Jupiter (lower speck of light) and Mercury set together in a clear western sky as seen from the grounds of Noelridge Christian Church on Friday evening, March 18, 2011. The first photo was taken around 7:50 PM, and the second about 20 minutes later. Mercury, which never strays far from the sun in our skies, achieves its greatest visual separation from it on March 22.
