Twas' a few nights before Christmas, Our lights were a glowin'
When some teens came a creepin'
Our Santa was stolen.
The police were called, the neighbors were told- We cherished our Kringle over 20 years old!
The next day the bell rang and I saw his jolly face-
A new plastic Santa to take the other one's place!
A gift from a neighbor, then one from a friend- Three more from a garage sale, the giving did not end.
One was found in a creek, one found in the trash, then the cops brought back the original to add to the stash.
What started as a loss had become a gift from heaven, By the end of the year, the total grew to Seven!
What to do with all these Santa's had my husband's brain in full gear- He got busy plotting and building this year.
So here's the new attraction for young and old to see,
From my husband's mind's eye,
Just a little Christmas In-Santa-Tree!
My Husband's "In-Santa-Tree"

The tree is wonderful, but you have to see the rest of the gingerbread house. The lighting is wonderful and fills the whole neighborhood with Christmas cheer!

I love your 'poem' explaining the "In-Santa-Tree". What a unique way of showing how good always comes from a bad experience. Your "gingerbread" home is adorable too !
