Four celestial objects glittered in the early morning sky on Friday, December 3, 2010, hours before clouds moved in and snow began to fall in Eastern Iowa. Shown from bottom to top in the eastern sky are the Moon, Venus, Spica (star in Virgo) and Saturn. Venus was one day away from its greatest visual brilliancy, occurring on Saturday.
