Truck loses tire, it flies into house

At 2:15 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning a black Chevy pick-up truck lost control in the 1200 block of 74th St NE, Cedar Rapids, hit two trees and a utility pole and lost its right rear wheel. The tire, with its brakes attached, flew through the air and hit the front of a house in the 1200 block of 74th St. NE, Cedar Rapids. The truck driver drove off on three wheels with sparks flying off the back end. No one was hurt, but the house sustained damage to siding, gutters, interior drywall and a broken front window. A police report was filed. Anyone with knowledge about this truck, please post information so the police can catch the driver. The truck is also missing its right rear view mirror and right floor board (the police have these parts and the tire).

when are they going to stop glamorizing these stories with the headlines " truck loses tire" or wheel or whatever. Everyone assumes it's a Semi because of all the previous bad press. Just call it as it is ", P.O.S. p/u or SUV type vehicle.Thank you,
