The planet Jupiter glows bright in the eastern sky as seen from the eastern boundary of Bowman Woods Park in Cedar Rapids at 9:20 PM on Friday, October 1, 2010. The very slight bulge of Jupiter's disc at its lower left is caused by the close orbiting moons Europa and Ganymede. The brownish smugs in the sky at left are drifting clouds.
