I had the opportunity to interview Rory Alsberg of North American Hydro. He explains what is going on with the Dam Repairs at the Dam on the Wapsipinicon River at Anamosa, Iowa.
High waters over the past few years have litterally sucked a 15 foot deep hole that had been filled with stone (Rip Rap) and threatened to washout beneath the dam. The dam had been repaired on the north side about 20 years ago, but only half of the dam had been repaired, they are finishing the project to avoid any further damages.
