Lights from a commercial airliner trace its descent into an approaching thunderstorm just before 10:00 PM Friday, August 13, 2010. The aircraft was heading in a southwesterly direction toward the Eastern Iowa Airport and was captured in this time exposure of the thunderstorm as taken from Noelridge Christian Church on C Avenue NE near Boyson Road. The airliner eventually banked left and disappeared into the coming clouds on the horizon. The light areas to the right of the airliner streak above the houses were made by lightning.
