KCRG First Alert Daily Weather Forecast
Tonight moisture begins to move in from the south and move overtop a subfreezing layer of air near the surface. This will result in a light wintry mix across eastern Iowa for the late evening and overnight hours. Significant ice accumulations are not expected, however, surfaces may become slick in certain areas. On Monday the wintry mix will transition to mostly rain by the mid to late morning hours as temperatures climb into the mid-30s. Snow will still be possible in extreme northern counties in the TV9 viewing area. By Monday night, all precipitation will transition to snow, with little to no accumulations expected for most areas. The exception being the far northwestern counties.
