A fast-moving storm system will swing through Iowa late tonight into Sunday, bringing with it scattered showers and blustery winds. Temperatures will quickly drop to the lower 30s this evening, then slowly rise toward dawn as clouds thicken. Some showers are possible late tonight, with most of the activity coming during the morning hours of Sunday. Those showers will move out by early afternoon, followed by partial clearing. Many of us will rise into 50s, but the warmer temperatures will come with a strong west wind of 20 to 30 mph, sometimes gusting higher. The first half of the workweek should be mild with highs in the 60s. Our next chance of rain after Sunday comes late on Wednesday.
