KEOTA — One man is in custody for a stabbing that happened late Saturday night. The Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office responded just before 11:30 p.m. to the 400 block of North Green Street. Deputies found a woman with a knife wound in her chest two blocks away. Paramedics treated her there, but she refused to go to the hospital. She is in stable condition, according to a news release.

Law enforcement arrested 25-year-old Thomas Gollaher and he is charged with First Degree Burglary. Authorities say other charges are pending after the victim identified Gollaher as her attacker.

Online records indicate Gollaher remained in the Keokuk County Jail as of Sunday evening.
