DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) — U.S. Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew will visit the Davenport area to tour a manufacturing plant.
Lew is scheduled to travel to Iowa on Tuesday. He’ll tour Alcoa’s Davenport Works facility, which produces aluminum products, including military-grade aluminum. The facility employs more than 2,400 people.
Lew’s trip is designed to promote President Barack Obama’s commitment to manufacturing growth.
Alcoa recently completed an expansion to increase aluminum production at the Davenport Works plant.
