RAGBRAI Riders Push Through Rain to Independence

By Melissa Dawkins, KCRG-TV9

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-RAGBRAI riders battled their way through winds and rain today on their 67.4-mile ride from Waverly to Independence.

Riders there said the conditions were some of the worst ever for RAGBRAI.

“This morning was terrible. And it was so windy yet this afternoon even when the rain quit, the winds didn’t,” John Ulrich said. “It was wicked.”

Today marked day six of the ride.

RAGBRAI wraps up tomorrow in Guttenberg where riders will dip their tires in the Mississippi River.
