IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — A man sentenced to five years in prison for pulling a gun on a woman in Iowa City last year and who escaped from work release has been charged with attempting to sexually assault a 15-year-old girl.

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports 25-year-old Anthony Kendricks was reported to police by the girl’s grandmother on Aug. 5 after she found him and the girl in a bedroom.

He is in the Johnson County Jail charged with assault with intent to commit sexual abuse.

Last year Kendricks was charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon after grabbing a woman and pulling a gun on her outside the county administration building on April 24, 2013.

He has been on escape status since April.

Online court records list no attorney for him.
