CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Cedar Rapids police and firefighters responded to near the interchange between Interstate 380 and U.S. Highway 30 after 3 p.m. Thursday.

Police said a vehicle lost control and hit a utility pole, creating a chain reaction that involved four other vehicles and two semi-tractor trailers.

Authorities said two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash, and the rainy weather may have played a factor in what happened.

An email sent by police at 5:05 p.m. said all lanes of Interstate 380 were back open to traffic.
