Jo Daviess County Sheriff Investigating Officer Impersonation

JO DAVIESS COUNTY, Illinois Deputies are investigating a report of officer impersonation that happened early on Sunday.
Sheriff Kevin Turner said in a media release a citizen was pulled over by a vehicle with red and blue flashing lights around 4:30 a.m. near Highway 20 and Williams Drive in rural Galena. The man says a person got out of the vehicle and asked for identification after approaching his car. The man did not comply, and notified a Galena police officer after driving away.
Authorities say the suspect’s vehicle is a black Buick Century with Iowa registration and red/blue lights in the grille and passenger side visor.
