IOWA CITY, Iowa — An Iowa City man is accused of slashing another man with a knife.

According to an Iowa City police criminal complaint, at 1:49 a.m. Tuesday, 24-year-old Austin B. Chadderdon went to his estranged wife’s apartment and knocked on the door. Police said Chadderdon walked into the apartment and saw another man there.

According to police, Chadderdon hit the man twice in the head with his fist. When the alleged victim grabbed Chadderdon, Chadderdon pulled out a pocket knife and slashed at the other man multiple times, police said.
