DUNKERTON, Iowa - A judge on Monday sentenced former Dunkerton High student Mar’yo Lindsey Jr. for bringing a gun to an away football game on August 30, 2012.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports a judge sentenced Lindsey to five years in prison. Online court records show the 18-year-old was convicted of four charges, including carrying weapons on school grounds and control of a firearm by a felon.
Lindsey was convicted in juvenile court in 2012 of five counts of trafficking in stolen weapons and other gun charges.
He still faces charges in Howard County, where authorities say he had the gun in his bag. That trial is scheduled to start in September.
