BREMER COUNTY, Iowa — A sheriff’s deputy tried to pull over a motorcycle going 98 miles per hour near Denver on Wednesday afternoon.

A release from Sheriff Dan Pickett says the motorcycle didn’t stop and led authorities on a chase south on U.S. 63 starting around 1:10 p.m.

The chase turned onto Dunkerton Road, and deputies arrested 22-year-old Andrew Harmon in Dunkerton.

He faces two charges of excessive speed, one for going 98 mph in a 65 mph zone and one for 134 in a 65, in addition to other traffic-related charges.
