DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) A 21-year-old Dubuque resident has been accused of impersonating a state investigator in an effort to harass another woman.
The Dubuque Telegraph Herald says Abby Healy was arrested Saturday on warrants alleging impersonation of a public official and harassment. She also was arrested on warrants charging failure to appear on charges of a controlled-substance violation and operating while intoxicated.
Jail records say Healy has bonded out of custody. A public phone listing for her couldn’t be found. Court records don’t list the name of her attorney.
The other woman told officers that Healy had harassed her since she became pregnant by Healy’s boyfriend at the time. Court documents say Healy admitted to pretending to work for the Iowa Department of Human Services so she could obtain information about the other woman.
