ELDRIDGE, Iowa (AP) — Three children have been removed from a home in eastern Iowa where police say an active meth lab was found.

The Eldridge Police Department said in a news release Thursday that two men were arrested recently after officers found the meth lab. A search warrant for the home had been obtained following an investigation.

Thirty-three-year-old Nolan Dufloth and 24-year-old Benjamin Meyers, both residents, are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine with children present and three counts of child endangerment, meth exposure. Court records do not list attorneys.

The children, ages 2, 7 and 10, are in the care of state officials.
