OSAGE, Iowa (AP) — Osage Cooperator Elevator has announced a $5 million expansion project at its Osage site in northern Iowa.
The project will include construction of a dry fertilizer building to replace one built in the 1960s. The co-op is seeking tax increment financing incentives for part of the project.
Co-op manager Gayle Melcher says the plant is being built to accommodate co-op customers for the next 30 to 50 years. Melcher says construction is expected to begin in spring 2015 and be finished a year later.
