WATERLOO, Iowa - Police said they have recovered two more guns stolen from a Waterloo home in April. They said another teenager is also now charged in the case.
Police said the teens stole 28 rifles, handguns and shotguns from a house on William Drive while the owners were out of town. They also stole jewelry, shoes and video games, according to police.
Officers initially arrested four teens for the thefts. John Fitzpatrick, 14, Alex Bullerman, 14, Myles Anderson, 15, and Nervedin Mrzljak, 17 face felony charges of theft, burglary, and trafficking stolen weapons.
Prosecutors also charged two teenage girls for their involvement. Taylor Torrey, 15, and Zorana Karlica, 16, are charged with felony theft and burglary. Karlica is also charged with trafficking stolen weapons.
Police said the teens traded the guns to Darrius Redd, 26, in exchange for money and marijuana.
Redd is charged with nine counts of trafficking stolen weapons and nine counts of possessing a firearm as a felon.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports police on Sunday arrested Gage Anthony Walter, 16, for theft and trafficking stolen weapons. Police said they found part of a shotgun in his house that was reported stolen from the William Drive home.
