Lightning Strikes Masonville Warning Siren

MASONVILLE, Iowa — Recent severe weather has knocked out a warning siren in Masonville.

The Delaware County emergency management coordinator says lightning struck the emergency warning siren. The city is working on a replacement.

City officials say if severe weather threatens the town, the fire department will blow sirens on their trucks as a warning.
