Johnson County Authorities Searching for Hills Bank Robber

HILLS, Iowa - The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a robbery at Hills Bank and Trust Friday afternoon. Authorities say the robber was unarmed when he went into the bank at 131 Main Street in Hills at 11:49 a.m. Friday. Deputies say the suspect was a black male wearing a white face mask, gloves, grey sweatpants and a camoflage rain pancho. The robber ran southeast from the bank and post office area and was never caught. The sheriff’s department is investigating how an older dark green Oldsmobile or General Motors car with damage to the front passenger window played a role in the robbery.
