Iowa City Police Search for Suspect in Robbery

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Iowa City Police are searching for who they say robbed a man early Saturday morning. Police first responded to the report of a robbery in the area of Highland Avenue and Boyrum Street around 3:30 A.M.

The victim says a man approached his car and asked for a ride. That’s when he grabbed them man and demanded money.

The suspect was last seen walking westbound on Highland Avenue. He is described as a black male, standing about 5 foot 10 and weighing around 185 pounds. He was wearing either a blue or green hoodie during thte robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers. Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading toan arrest.
