IC Jazz Festival Goes on In Rain

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Despite the rainy weather, the Iowa City Jazz Festival shows still went on Saturday.

People brought their umbrellas out and withstood the rain to watch the last of the bands perform.

Organizers worked to make sure plans were adjusted according to the rain that hit Saturday.

Originally, they were going to change locations. But The Commons Collective ended up performing on the main stage.

Other artists said the event turned out fine even with the drizzly day.

“It’s been great. I mean yesterday there was just so much good music to listen to. Listening to Joe Lovano was just awesome and the jam sessions at night are just awesome so the jazz fest at Iowa City is always fantastic,” said Jonathan Birdsall of Iowa City.

The Jazz Festival wrapped up Saturday night.
