HIAWATHA, Iowa — From city hall, stretching west to Guthridge Park, this weekend brings the masses to Hiawatha for the 33rd Hog Wild Days.
Saturday always brings the parade, and for 2014, that means KCRG-TV9 Chief Meterologist Joe Winters has the esteemed honor of grand marshal for the parade.
And what follows on this summer day, adventures in fun, food and frivolity for kids and grown ups.
“Last night we have a big party and it was fun. Oh, she loved it. She hasn’t seen the fair yet as it’s her first year,” said Niki Saari who lives in Hiawatha.
The grounds open at noon on Sunday for the third and final day, including the carnival rides and, of course, bingo.
