FAIRFIELD, Iowa — Three Fairfield residents are facing felony drug charges following a months long investigation.

Police arrested 48-year-old Edward Wayne Curtis, 42-year-old Cameron Mitchell Cooksey and 48-year-old Earl Keith Blair for the sale or distribution of methamphetamine.

Cooksey is a former Fairfield police officer who served from May 1999 to January 2004. He is also the son of Randy Cooksey, Fairfield’s former police chief.

Prosecutors have charged the three men with two felonies, conspiracy to deliver more than five grams of meth and delivery of less than five grams of meth.

Police said they expect additional arrests and charges as they continue their investigation.
