Fire Crews Battle Vacant House Fire in Walker

    WALKER, Iowa - Fire crews spent several hours on the scene of a house fire in Walker. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says a fire started at a vacant home at 5309 North Center Point Road around 1:15 Sunday morning.

    Fire crews spent several hours controlling the flames. Officials have not said how much damage was done to the structure.

    The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says an arson investigator has been called in to see if it was set intentionally.
