MUSCATINE, Iowa (AP) — Federal workplace safety investigators are looking into the death of a 29-year-old man at a Muscatine metal fabrication plant.
The Muscatine Journal reports that Torkor Dahn died May 23 while working at Fabricators Plus in Muscatine.
An autopsy was performed at the University of Iowa, and medical examiners are waiting on the results to state a cause of death.
Meanwhile, an investigation has been initiated by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA.
Iowa OSHA Administrator Stephen Slater says the length of time to conduct the investigation is still undetermined.
Managers with the company declined to comment to the newspaper about Dahn’s death.
