SHELLSBURG, Iowa - A father and a son are helping others build relationships by firing paintballs at each other.
The pair invited matches from Big Brothers, Big Sisters to play paintball at Adventure Park Paintball in Shellsburg.
Paul and Olie Ruffalo hosted the free event for matches.
They hope the games can help support Big Brothers Big Sisters mission of building mentors.
“I think it’s a great cause,” said Paul Ruffalo “Taking care of kids is a big thing for me so it’s a good experience for my son and just reaching out to the community.”
The Ruffalo’s team is called Indelible, meaning to leave a lasting mark. They hope to do that by supporting the program -- and not just on their clothing from when the paintball targets hit.
