CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Saturday, 17-year-old Jake Clark received his first motorcycle. But it wasn’t just any bike. The ‘74 Harley-Davidson Sportster used to belong to Jake’s father, Tony.

A few years ago, Tony was restoring the bike and planning to give it to his son, but suffered a heart attack and died before finishing.

Jake’s mother, Becca, wanted to fulfill Tony’s dream, so she turned the unfinished motorcycle over to her cousin, Mike “Zig” Sigler.

Zig spent the last year and a half restoring the motorcycle, and then surprised Jake.

“I hope he likes it. I’ve got about 400 hours in that bike. Hopefully he likes it,” said Zig.

The gift left Jake almost speechless. He said the next step is getting his motorcycle license so he can ride it.
