DUBUQUE — Police were called to Mercy Medical Hospital early Friday morning after two men arrived with gunshot wounds.

The victims, Ryan McMahon, 21, and Cody Richey, 23, did not have serious injuries, police said. One was hit in the leg and the other had a graze wound to the rib cage, according to the police report.

McMahon and Richey told police they were shot during an argument with a group of people. The report also said the victims were not cooperative with the investigation but did say the shooting occurred in the “Five Points” area on the corner of 20th and Elm Streets in Dubuque.

Assistant Police Chief Terry Tobin said officers investigating the scene did not find evidence of gun shell casings nor any suspects in the area.
