Crews Respond to Vinton Fire

    VINTON, Iowa — Fire crews responded to a fire that impacted homes on two streets in Vinton after 10:30 p.m. Thursday. The Benton County Sheriff’s office confirms crews remained on the scene of the fires at 907 First Avenue and 908 A Avenue for several hours.

    Neighbors told our crews on the scene that the fire began at a building behind 907 First Avenue and spread to the home behind it on A Avenue. Fire crews are still investigating what caused the fire and haven’t said how much damage there is.

    Officials tell KCRG-TV9 that no injuries were reported. A representative of the North Benton Ambulance service says some fire fighters were treated for dehydration at the scene.
