TAMA, Iowa — A few city blocks will have to boil their water for the next few days after a water main break Tuesday morning.
Public Works Director John Lloyd said the main supplied water to the area of Ninth Street to 13th Street between Washington and Seymour.
Those in the four-block by one-block area will have to boil water until the water can be tested. Lloyd said one sample has already been taken, and another will happen on Wednesday.
A release from the city says people should boil water for two minutes before consumption, which includes drinking, cooking and brushing teeth.
