PLATTEVILLE, Wisc. — The Chicago Bears are helping the University of Wisconsin Platteville after a tornado damaged the school’s campus in June.

The Bears held their summer training camps at the Platteville campus from 1984 to 2001.

Friday, the team presented a $50,000 check to the school for a relief fund.

An EF-2 tornado struck the university June 16th, damaging five buildings and the school’s football stadium.

The Pioneer Relief Fund supports students and staff who the tornado affected.
