NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa — North Liberty’s indoor swimming pool is closed because of some broken glass in the water.
Public health code requires the city to drain the pool, clean it, and then inspect it for any additional shards of glass.
The city expects to finish that work and reopen the indoor pool at six a-m on Tuesday, July first.
In the meantime, North Liberty’s outdoor pool is still open with normal operating hours.
This is the second time in a week that an area swimming pool has been closed because of broken glass.
Cedar Rapids had to shutdown the Cherry Hill Aquatic Center last Friday. It reopened on Tuesday.
