The City of Wyoming has issued a boil water advisory for residents living in the Northwest section of the water system. It includes the area on West Green Street from Oak to State, West Webster Street from Maple to State, and North Maple from Green to Main.
A complication during water repairs Wednesday forced a water system shut off until it is fixed. Water pressure dropped because of this, and there’s a potential for bacterial contamination.
The city will flush lines and collect bacteria samples. Officials stress this is not a boil order, but recommend water be boiled before using it for drinking or cooking. Water should be brought to a boil for one minute. Water is being tested for bacteria and test results are expected back later in the week.
