SABULA, Iowa (AP) Authorities have found a body thought to be that of a 60-year-old Iowa man who has been missing since a fatal boat accident on the Mississippi River.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office says the body was found about 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Elk River area where the boat capsized Saturday morning. An autopsy was ordered to determine cause of death and positive identification.
Charles Selser, of Clinton, was driving the boat when it capsized, tossing all the boat’s occupants into the water. Selser was the only one not wearing a life jacket. Authorities say 85-year-old Nancy Selser, of Clinton, died before she could be pulled from the water.
Thirty-year-old Edwin Selser, of Davenport, made it safely to shore with his two children, ages 5 and 7.
