Authorities identify W. Iowa bodies as mother, son
By Associated Press
GLIDDEN, Iowa Authorities say two people found dead in a western Iowa home have been identified as a mother and her son.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation on Tuesday announced the deaths in Glidden were considered homicides.
They identified the victims as 48-year-old Tammie Lee Devore and her 30-year-old son Karl Allen Devore.
Authorities found the bodies after the sheriff’s office received a 911 call Sunday night about an unconscious person at a mobile home park.
Investigators say the deaths are an isolated incident and that area residents don’t need to be concerned about their safety.
Glidden, a city of about 1,100 people, is eight miles east of Carroll.
