DES MOINES, Iowa — This spring has been cooler than usual, thanks in large part to temperatures well below average the past three months. State Climatologist Harry Hillaker explains what the forecast for the rest of the spring and early summer means for farmers in the state.

And biotechnology has been the center of an ongoing debate for years. While genetically modified products may not be approved overseas, here in the U.S. developers undergo a long process to have these foods approved by the USDA.
