    On the May 1 Agribusiness Report: the Des Moines Water Works recently found elevated ammonia levels in both the Raccoon and Des Moines Rivers. Researchers at Iowa State University explain that ammonia can come from a variety of sources, including sediment erosion and feedlot runoff.

    And almost a third of global food production needs animal pollination to reproduce. Honey bees are the most important pollinators for most crops, but a disorder means some regions have been quickly losing honey bee colonies.
